Design Process

Our design process typically begins with a consultation to discuss your goals and objectives for the project. We will take measurements and photos, and develop a scope of work to ensure that we are on the same page.

Next, we will develop a schematic design, which includes conceptual space planning and furniture layouts, rough sketches and elevations, and preliminary furniture and finish ideas. This phase is presented to the client for review and revision.

Following the approval of the schematic design, we will develop floor plans, elevations, and other related items in greater detail. Colors and finishes will be refined, furniture, fabrics, and equipment will be selected, and cost estimates will be prepared.

Once the design is complete, we will document the specific details of the work to be completed, including millwork specifications, finish selections, lighting plans, and fixture selection. We will obtain bids, select contractors, and issue purchase orders.

The final stage of the design process is where things are built and installed. We will be onsite during the installation to ensure that items are received in good condition, installed correctly, and that documents have been followed properly.
