Moore Coal Co. is a fourth-generation family-owned business with a rich history dating back to 1929. Founded by James Ernest Moore, Sr., the company initially focused on the retail and wholesale coal industry. Recognizing the growing need for waste management solutions, James E. Moore, Jr., steered the company towards scrap metal, cardboard, and newspaper recycling after World War II. Driven by a commitment to serving the evolving needs of their community, Moore Coal Co. expanded its services to include commercial garbage removal in 1969, as local municipalities transitioned away from providing this service to businesses.

Over the past three and a half decades, Moore Coal Co. has significantly expanded its service territory and the range of containers it offers to meet the diverse requirements of its clientele. Judy Moore Mathis, the third generation of Moores actively involved in the business, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the company, ensuring its continued success and dedication to customer satisfaction.

While Moore Coal Co. continues to offer coal for sale, its primary focus has shifted towards providing comprehensive waste removal and recycling solutions. We also offer 6 and 8 yard containers with side and top doors, or a slant setup with top doors only, providing flexibility to suit your specific needs.

For larger projects and industrial waste disposal, our Rolloff Containers are the perfect solution. These versatile containers can accommodate a wide range of materials, including industrial waste, commercial waste, construction and demolition debris, special waste, concrete, and dirt. We offer a variety of sizes to accommodate both small-scale projects and large-scale construction sites.

In addition to our container services, Moore Coal Co. is dedicated to promoting recycling and responsible waste disposal through our Recycling and Scrap Metal services. We offer convenient pickup and processing of scrap metal, baling of cardboard and plastic recycling, and the purchase of copper and aluminum.
