Our Story

Founded by Henry V. Ragan, our store has a rich history that dates back to the 1940s. Henry's journey began when he opened his first business, Henry V. Ragan Plumbing and Heating Company, in downtown Dickson. Over the years, he expanded his ventures, and in 1962, he opened the Friendly Neighbor Store at its current location. Today, under the management and ownership of Dale Ragan, the son of Henry V. Ragan, we continue to serve the community with a wide range of products and services.

A Little Bit of History

In the 1950s, Henry Ragan founded Ragan and Hamilton General Contractors with his brother-in-law, Vernon Hamilton. The business, which later expanded into American Maintenance and Service Corporation, was located on Church Street. In the late 1960s, Henry sold out to his partner and opened the Friendly Neighbor Store at its current location. Today, we continue to serve the community with the same dedication and passion as we have for over 60 years.
