Our journey began humble, with the first Churchill carpet stall opening its doors in Newark in the early 1900s. This family-run business blossomed, expanding to encompass multiple locations throughout Northern New Jersey. By 1948, the Montclair store opened its doors, welcoming generations of residents seeking exceptional flooring solutions. In 1994, Mark and Jileen Friedman, who had grown within the Churchill family for 30 years, took the reins of the Montclair store, ensuring the continuation of its legacy.
