Penro Construction

At Penro Construction, we specialize in the construction of municipal infrastructure, including the installation of utility mains such as water, sewer, and storm sewer. Along with the construction of the mains, we also build structures and plants associated with the pipelines, including lift stations, booster stations, well houses, water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, and lagoons.

Our company has a rich history, dating back to 1971 when three original partners, Christiansen Construction Company, Arlis (Bud) Kinning Jr., and Cliff Albin, formed Penro Construction Company. The three partners combined the names of their home towns to come up with the name PENRO. Over the years, Penro has grown and evolved, adapting to the changing needs of the industry. Today, our company is led by co-owners and CEOs, Mark and Ryan, who are committed to upholding the ethics and values instilled by the original owners.

Our Projects

We have been involved in numerous projects over the years, including:

• Highway 81, Norfolk, NE: Constructed 13,250' of 10" sanitary sewer and built a sewer lift station.
• Industrial Park Sanitary Sewer, South Sioux City, NE: Installed approximately 4500 feet of 30" VCP sanitary sewer and remodeled the BPI Lift Station.
• Lake Area and Yankton Area Transmission Improvements Phase 4: B-Y Water District, Yankton, SD: Constructed approximately 9 miles of 24", 20", and 16" ductile iron water main.
• Southeast Morningside Sanitary Sewer, Sioux City, IA: Built 5,400 feet of 30" VCP sanitary sewer and 4,500 feet of 24" VCP gravity sewer.
• Norfolk Airport, Norfolk, NE: Removed and replaced nearly 14,000 feet of existing storm sewer main and installed 6900 feet of underdrain piping.
• Western Hills Water Project, Sioux City, IA: Installed approximately 15,500 feet of 16-inch PVC water main with associate fittings, valves, hydrants, and approximately 1,500 feet of 1-inch, 1.5-inch, and 2-inch water services.
