Our Story

At Yoder's Building Supply, we're more than just a building supply company. We're a family business with a rich history and a deep commitment to our community. Our journey began in 1979 when Harvey "Granddad" Yoder and his sons decided to establish a boys camp in Fair Play, SC. As the camp grew, so did their desire to support it and their families. With a background in building supplies, they explored various avenues to generate income, including opening a pizza shop. However, it was an unexpected encounter with a pizza oven salesman that led them to discover the need for a building supply in Fair Play. With the support of their family and a small team, they laid the groundwork for Yoder's Building Services in 1986. Our original intention was for the boys from the camp to help out at the store, but as the camp outgrew its location, they were unable to do so. Granddad's heart remained with the boy's camp, while Floyd and Ellen dedicated themselves to building the supply business. Over the years, we've expanded our services and product lines, but our commitment to quality and community remains unwavering. Today, we're proud to be a one-stop source for all your building needs, offering a wide range of products and services designed to make your building project a success.
