Our History

Founded in 1932 by William 'Bill' G. Volkman, we initially operated from 207 S. 3rd Street in Norfolk. Throughout the 1940s and 1950s, Bill continued to grow the business, establishing dominance in Northeast Nebraska. His unique ability to weld and install commercial equipment created opportunities across the state, including a notable boiler installation at the Ogallala Post Office in 1938. In 1960, we became incorporated, and Bill Volkman transitioned the day-to-day activities to his son, Aaron G. Volkman, in 1973. Today, we operate from our current location at 211 S. 3rd Street, with a thriving business that has grown from a few to many employees and service vehicles.
