John Muse began his career in New York City in 1979 at the internationally acclaimed firm I.M. Pei & Partners Architects and Planners. The high standards and innovative approach of the firm left a lasting impression on John and his work. He later attended Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, graduating in 1979 with a bachelor's degree in architecture and a minor in business administration. Additionally, he received a master's degree in urban planning from City College of New York in 1980. John is registered to practice architecture in New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
In 1981, John started his own firm, Muse Architects and Planners, where he worked on over one million square feet of office interiors for prestigious clients such as Citibank, Morgan Guaranty Trust Company, and the Depository Trust Company. He moved his practice to the City of Saratoga Springs in 1990, where he has since worked on notable projects including the Carousel Pavilion in Congress Park, the YMCA of Saratoga, and bank branches for the Adirondack Trust Company.
