Finn Design, Inc. is a full-service interior design and custom cabinetry company based in Melbourne, Florida, specializing in creating beautiful, safe, comfortable, and functional dream spaces for its clients. Our team, led by Riitta Ylonen, a state-licensed interior designer, Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist, and certified Feng Shui consultant, offers a wide range of services tailored to meet the unique needs and preferences of each client.

Our Story

Finn Design, Inc. was founded in 1994 by a Finnish couple who immigrated to South Florida in the late 1980s. The company moved to Melbourne in 2001 and has since established itself as a leading interior design and custom cabinetry firm on Florida's Space Coast and Treasure Coast, covering areas such as Melbourne, Melbourne Beach, Indialantic, Satellite Beach, Cocoa Beach, Viera, Rockledge, and Vero Beach.

Our Services

Our comprehensive services include interior design, redesign, custom cabinetry, fine woodwork, handmade products, Feng Shui, aging in place, furniture, and accessories. Interior Design

Our interior design services are available as a package or a la carte and cover a wide range of areas, including design consultation, redesign, stylizing, space planning, accessibility/aging in space, universal design, project management, design implementation, color, finish, material selections, lighting design, plans, drawings, and specifications. We also specialize in custom upholstery, furnishings, window treatments, shades, art, and accessories.

Custom Woodworking

Our custom woodworking department, led by Juha Ylonen, a master woodworker and bamboo specialist, offers bespoke cabinetry for residential and commercial spaces, including kitchens, baths, libraries, theaters, home offices, and more. We use natural, environmentally healthy finishes and woods in natural colors, and offer custom pieces, such as handcrafted trays, cutting boards, and skateboards.

Feng Shui

As a certified Feng Shui consultant, Riitta Ylonen has studied different schools of Feng Shui for over two decades. She helps bring people and their surroundings into harmony by using this intuitive and practical art and science to promote well-being and potential in homes and businesses.
