Our Story
We are an Oakland-based landscaping company focused on eco-gardening. As a Bay Area landscape design and build company, we are dedicated to creating artfully designed spaces that complement urban environments. In every garden, we see a unique opportunity to reconnect a space with its natural systems. Our Services
Our services include habitat gardens, stonework, greywater and water harvesting, seed fountains, garden care, and food gardens. We work closely with our clients to understand their vision and bring it to life using locally sourced materials and innovative design principles. Our team is committed to restoring ecologically sound outdoor spaces in urban areas by combining low-water and native plants, building dry-stacked stone structures, and conserving water in the garden.
Our Team
Our team is comprised of passionate and knowledgeable individuals who are dedicated to their craft. Andrea Hurd, our founder, has a Permaculture Design Certification and has used Permaculture as the guiding design principle for all of her gardens. Gina Trautner, our landscape designer, has a Masters of Landscape Architecture degree and has been working in the residential landscape design field since 2015. Lauren Bennett, our project manager, has been in the landscaping industry for over a decade and has a degree in Horticulture and Landscape Architecture. Kari Ballesteros, our crew member, is passionate about creating balanced ecosystems through native city gardens, and Janet Richardson, our crew member, has a fascination for the natural world and is dedicated to creating ecologically sound gardens.
