Watsontown Brick Company, a trusted name in the industry, was founded in 1908 with the primary objective of producing street pavers. Over the years, the company has expanded its product line to include a diverse range of residential, commercial, and architectural products. Today, Watsontown Brick Company operates three state-of-the-art plants that produce a combined total of 95,000,000 bricks every year. Two of these facilities specialize in the production of extruded red shale and buff brick, while the third plant, built in 2008, focuses on the manufacture of molded brick.

All our brick meet the highest ASTM specifications, and our thin brick complies with all PCI requirements.

In December 2018, General Shale, a leading U.S. manufacturer of brick, acquired Watsontown Brick Company. General Shale has a significant presence in the North American market, with eight brick plants and two stone plants operating in nine states and provinces. The company also boasts a network of 28 General Shale-branded retail showrooms and over 300 affiliated distributors across North America. In 1999, General Shale became even stronger by joining Wienerberger AG of Vienna, Austria, a global leader in the building materials industry.
