Our Story

Founded by Principal Designer and owner Lena G. Samuelson, D2D Studio has grown into a respected design firm with a team of talented and experienced designers. Lena's passion for interior design was cultivated during her studies at the Art Institute of Colorado, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design. After completing her degree, she honed her skills by interning at Design Works and Burk Design Group, gaining extensive experience in residential, retail, hospitality, and automotive industry projects. Her design philosophy is built on the foundation that form should follow function, and she believes that space planning is the most critical element of design.

Meet Our Team

Lena Samuelson, Principal Designer and Owner

Born in Fairbanks, Alaska, Lena grew up in sunny San Diego, California. Her passion for interior design led her to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Colorado. With over a decade of experience in the design industry, Lena has developed a keen eye for aesthetics, which is reflected in her ability to create harmonious and functional spaces that meet her clients' needs.

Cole Roberts, Interior Designer

Cole joined the D2D Studio team in 2020, bringing over 5 years of experience in design. A graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, Cole's education provided a well-rounded combination of Interior Design, Architecture, Urban Planning, and Landscape Design. His design style is characterized by his ability to blend modernity with tradition, incorporating his love for music and culinary arts into his work.

Claire Haydel, Interior Design Assistant

Claire joined D2D Studio in May 2022, bringing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture and Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Claire's design style is inspired by the natural beauty of rural Louisiana, where she grew up. Her experience in interior architecture and spatial planning allows her to create unique and functional designs that meet her clients' needs.
