King Architects

In 1994, Barry King and his associates formed King Architects, Inc. (KAI) to provide quality Architectural/Engineering services to the Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas areas. We are a Louisiana owned and managed Architectural firm headquartered in Westlake, Louisiana. Mr. King has practiced Architecture for over 40 years and the KAI staff has over 100 years combined experience.

Throughout Mr. King's professional career, he has established a quality firm that has the expertise and diversification to supply a high caliber of Architectural Services for any commercial or residential project, regardless of size. KAI has been involved in a wide range of projects including commercial, educational, recreational, municipal, industrial, aviation related and religious projects. Over the past thirty-five years, Barry King and KAI have provided design services for projects totaling approximately $550 million in construction costs for commercial projects.

Our team consists of experienced professionals who are dedicated to providing top-notch services. Barry King, the owner and principal architect, has over 40 years of experience in the field. Tanya Gaudet, our finance manager, ensures that all financial aspects of our projects are handled efficiently. Summer Broussard, our project administrator, oversees project management. Jack Clark, our project manager, has extensive knowledge in managing various types of projects. Weston King, who handles 3D graphics and design, brings a unique perspective to our projects. Byron Christian, our senior CAD operator, has been with the company for many years and has worked on numerous projects. Connie Johnson, our CAD operator, supports our design team with her skills.

Recent Projects

We have recently completed several notable projects. One of them is the construction of the new Lake Charles non-profit property for Lord's Outreach Ministries - HL Repairs. This project involved assessing the damage caused by FEMA and developing plans for new construction or renovations to the existing facility.

Another significant project we have been working on is the Pinderosa Park Recreation Complex in Westlake, Louisiana. This project includes the construction of an aquatic complex, renovations to existing facilities, and the installation of new playground equipment.

Additionally, we have completed the construction documents phase for the Life Christian Academy Educational Facility in Carlyss, Louisiana. This facility will be a two-story building with over 70,000 square feet and will include various educational spaces.
