Our story began in 1996 when Mike Burns, the founder of Burns Garage Door & opener, established his own local service and repair company in the Santa Clarita Valley. With an enthusiastic outlook towards the future, Mike built his business with his wife Patty, working with leading manufacturers and retailers such as Lowe's and Home Depot. After 25 years of running the service and installation department, Mike is stepping aside to bring in a new partner, David Zohari, to take over all your garage repair needs along with free estimates for new doors.

California Senate Bill 969
In response to California Senate Bill 969, all new garage door openers installed in California residences must have battery backup starting from July 1, 2019. Existing openers currently in use will not need to be replaced with battery backup openers unless the door is being replaced. If it is time to replace your opener before July 1, 2019, we recommend replacing it with a battery backup opener to ensure compliance with the new law.
