At Ghent Wood Products, we have a long and rich history that dates back to 1946 when Emil Meltz, Sr. founded Meltz Lumber in Mellenville. We are currently a third-generation company, producing approximately 16,000 board feet of hardwoods per day. Our commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and sustainability has allowed us to grow and thrive over the years.

Our journey began with a small, hand-set sawmill powered by a car engine, and today, we utilize computerized circular and gang saws to produce high-quality wood products. Over the years, we have expanded our services to cater to a wide range of customer needs, from homeowners to contractors and builders.

• Siding: We offer a variety of wood sidings, some rustic, and others more distinguished. You can choose to treat the exterior with a natural stain, which will bring out the wood's natural beauty or go for a more rustic look.

• Paneling: All our paneling material is kiln dried and planed. It's available in a variety of widths and is ready to be installed, requiring minimal finish work.

• Custom Millwork: Our Custom Mill Shop is capable of reproducing unique moldings for your project. We have molder knives in stock and can custom cut them to match your project's requirements.

• Flooring: Our flooring is kiln dried, tongue and groove, planed, and has back relievers for stability. It's ready to be installed and requires minimum finish work.

• Kiln Dried Softwoods, Hardwoods, and Exotics: We carry a wide selection of species and grades, ranging in thickness from 4/4" to 16/4". If there's a special species you're looking for, we can source it for you.

• Trusses: We can provide quotes for LVL and Roof Trusses, including laminated veneer lumber, which consists of multiple thin layers of wood or veneers laminated together with exterior-grade adhesives.

• Live Edge Slabs: We offer live edge slabs that bring nature into your home with their raw beauty and positive energy.

• Butcher Blocks: Our unique custom butcher block and glue-up tops are perfect for upgrading your dining table, bar top, counters, vanities, and more.

• Decking: We offer Yellow Balau, a naturally durable hardwood species that provides a smooth, even texture and ensures a long maintenance-free service life.

• Stones, Lost Mountain Veneer, & Wall Stone: We have a variety of stones, including Thermal Bluestone, Natural Blue Stone, Fieldstone, Colonial, and Tumbled, perfect for your outdoor projects.

• Rough Cut Pine & Hemlock: We provide rough cut pine and hemlock for your construction and renovation needs.
