Gibson Design Group is a luxury interior design firm that has been transforming spaces since its establishment in 2000. Our founder, Andrea Gibson, has been in the industry for over 40 years, having previously owned and operated Architectural Interiors, Inc., a Washington, DC and Seattle, WA based firm, from 1972-1999. We are based in Charlottesville, Virginia, and serve clients nationwide.

About Andrea Gibson

Andrea Gibson is the founder and principal designer of Gibson Design Group. With over 40 years of experience in the design industry, Andrea has designed residential and commercial spaces across the United States, in Canada, and in the Middle East.

Andrea holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Maryland and a minor in textiles and urban sociology. She has studied landscape architecture, also at the University of Maryland. She is a professional member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers), a member of NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association), and is NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) certified.

Throughout her career, Andrea has worked on a variety of projects, from hospitals and offices to homes and restaurants. She has a strong working knowledge of construction, blueprints, electrical planning/layout, furniture, and antiques, making her a valuable asset to any design project.

Andrea loves living in Central Virginia and always has a Scottish Terrier running under her feet. She is dedicated to providing her clients with the highest level of professional service and thoughtful design, and she looks forward to working with you on your next design project.
