Our History

Triangle Building Products traces its roots back to the 1970s with Triangle Pacific Corp (TPC), founded by Abe Meltzer, the father of current CEO Bruce Meltzer. TPC flourished, expanding to encompass 17 lumber yards across the East Coast, 3 sawmills on the West Coast, and a manufacturing arm producing kitchen cabinets and wood flooring. The company achieved significant milestones, going public on the New York Stock Exchange before being acquired by Armstrong World Industries.

Bruce Meltzer, driven by a vision to re-establish a robust building component manufacturing presence on Long Island, repurchased the original Medford location in 1993 and founded Triangle Building Products Corp. This marked the beginning of a new chapter, building upon the legacy of quality and innovation established by TPC.
