Our History

Our story began in 1932, when Claude Sanders founded Midwest Plumbing and Heating Company in the midst of the Great Depression. What started as a small plumbing business eventually grew into a full-service commercial operation. The Sanders brothers, Claude, Perry, and Lee, persevered through challenging times, including World War II.

In the 1970s, Tom Sanders recognized an opportunity to enter the general contracting business. This marked the birth of MW Builders, Inc., a general contracting branch of the company. One of the company's first major projects was building for Motel 6 across the country.

Our Growth

Throughout the years, MW Builders has continued to grow and expand its services. In the 1980s, the company grew its general construction business and was awarded work at Ft. Hood, becoming known as a quality contractor specializing in military projects. Since then, the company has worked on over 15 military bases across the United States.

In 2002, the company became 100% employee-owned, a milestone that transformed the way we approach projects. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional results, and our employee-ownership structure ensures that everyone has a vested interest in our success.
