Our company history is a testament to our commitment to excellence and growth. Founded by Mrs. Joyce Buxton, NCIDQ, who has been practicing in the interior design industry for over twenty-eight years, Buxton Interiors, LLC was established as a debt-free company and experienced professional success and award-winning interiors every year since inception. In May of 2003, Buxton Interiors merged with Mr. Brian Kubik, a Licensed Architect with commercial and residential design experience, to diversify professional services. The partnership formed Buxton-Kubik Interior, Inc., specializing in interior design, interior architecture, product sales, and construction.

In January of 2005, Buxton-Kubik Interior, Inc. partnered with Mr. Jonathan Dodd, a Licensed Architect, to form Buxton-Kubik-Dodd, Inc. Architecture + Interior Design. Mr. Dodd's architectural experience as an international award-winning designer adds to the diversity of the firm's architectural group and brings a wealth of expertise in markets such as corporate office buildings, project master planning, developer retail, industrial, sports and recreation, religious, higher education, and custom residential architecture.

Over the years, we have continued to grow and expand our services. In October 2011, we acquired Creative Inc, forming Buxton Kubik Dodd Creative, and became one of the strongest and most recognized young Architectural and Interior Design Firms in Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas. In April 2013, we acquired the local architecture firm Pellham Phillips, adding additional in-house mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services to our firm.

In November 2017, Interior Design firm K Evans Interiors merged with Buxton Kubik Dodd in an acquisition, creating Buxton Kubik Dodd / Design Collective. This merger added three senior interior designers with over 65 years of combined team experience to our full-service commercial architecture, engineering, and interior design firm.

In September 2021, we announced the acquisition of J.R. Interior Design Group, a hospitality design group involved in the development of the 85-hotel portfolio consisting of new development and renovation of mostly Hilton & Marriott full-service brands and convention spaces.

Today, we are recognized as the largest firm in Southwest Missouri with a staff of 42 people. Our team of skilled architects, engineers, and interior designers are dedicated to providing exceptional design services that cater to a wide range of industries.
