Gafford Builders is a locally owned and family operated construction company that has been specializing in building custom and semi-custom homes and additions for many years. Our commitment to integrity, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction has earned us the reputation of being a leader in using new and innovative products, as well as energy-saving techniques. Our team has experience building houses ranging from 1300 square feet to 9000 square feet, and we have built homes with a variety of features such as front porches, stonework, energy-efficient products, smart home technology, pier and beam, and many other custom features. We have also built commercial projects, including retail strip centers, airplane hangers, tenant buildouts, and restaurants.

At Gafford Builders, we are one of the few true "Design-Build" home builders in the area, with house plans drawn in-house by our staff. This approach allows us to bring the most value to your new home. We have won several awards, including the 2018 HBA HOME BUILDER OF THE YEAR, 2018 LHBA RE Award Best Outdoor Kitchen, and 2016 Parade of Homes Best Bathroom.

Meet the Team

• Dwayne Gafford, President, has over 39 years of experience in the construction industry and has worked with almost every trade. He has been drawing house plans since 1980 and is a licensed residential and commercial contractor, as well as a private pilot with an instrument rating.
• Alyx Gafford Routh, VP of Construction, grew up in the building industry and joined Gafford Builders full-time in 2013. She is a Certified Aging in-Place Specialist (CAPS) and was awarded 2018 LREA for her Outdoor Kitchen design. She is also a private pilot and a licensed realtor since 2013.
• Dana Gafford, VP of Finance, has been the Financial manager for Gafford Builders since its incorporation and has provided interior design, color coordination, and beauty to our homes. She is an interior designer for all of our spec homes and a licensed realtor since 2003.

• House Plans: If you have your house plans already, we can use them to build your dream home. If you don't have house plans, we can custom design house plans to fit your lifestyle and budget.
• Value Design: Our Value Design process helps you get the most value from your new home by allowing you to customize the layout and design of your home and select finishes and amenities limited only by your budget and imagination.
