Established in 1954 by Ed Schlamp and his son, Ed Schlamp Jr., our company began as an independent distributor for the Dow Chemical Company, specializing in their extruded polystyrene insulation, Styrofoam. Over the years, we have expanded our product lines to include a range of weather and air barriers, spray foam insulation, claddings and cladding attachments, as well as building safety products. Our commitment has always been to keep buildings warm and dry, making us a trusted name in the industry.

Our team of dedicated professionals, led by Ted Stauber, our current owner and President, has extensive knowledge and expertise in building codes and best practices. We understand the importance of delivering not only high-quality products but also providing the necessary support and resources to ensure successful projects. Our team is comprised of 11 building science experts, including 8 full-time outside salespeople and 3 inside sales support staff, covering the Upper Midwest of the United States, including Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Iowa, and Nebraska.
