Action Appliance Service is a dedicated appliance repair business serving the Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge areas. With over 30 years of experience, we have built a reputation for providing our customers with reliable, honest, and high-quality service. We aim to fix it right the first time, ensuring our clients can trust us with all their appliance needs.

Our owner and operator, Glen Campbell, graduated from the appliance service program at Conestoga College in the spring of 1983. Glen worked for a large appliance service company in Guelph, where he gained extensive experience and factory training on most major brands. In October 1990, Glen started his own appliance repair business, Action Appliance Service, out of a spare room in his apartment. His first service vehicle was a 1972 Dodge Tradesman van, which he painted and lettered himself. Glen built a loyal client base through prompt, quality service to his customers.

In 1992, the company was incorporated and became Action Appliance Sales & Service Inc. For the first ten years in operation, Glen ran appliance repairs as well as sales of used appliances and factory seconds. However, in 1999, Glen's son was born, and he decided to close the sales side of the business to focus on servicing appliances only. This allowed him to spend more time at home as a dad.

Through the next thirteen years, Glen worked closely with St. Clair Appliance until they closed in 2012. This experience further enhanced his skills and knowledge, allowing him to provide the best possible service to his clients. Glen is factory authorized for warranty service on Bosch appliances and has been factory trained on Bosch, GE, Whirlpool, Frigidaire, and Maytag.

At Action Appliance Service, we offer prompt professional service on a wide range of appliances, including washers, dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, stoves, wall ovens, and cooktops. We repair appliances from various brands such as Bosch, General Electric, Whirlpool, Frigidaire, JennAir, KitchenAid, White-Westinghouse, Kenmore, Westinghouse, Inglis, RCA, Maytag, Amana, Simplicity, Gibson, SpeedQueen, Hotpoint, Modern Maid, Tappan, Caloric, Moffat, Viking, Danby, Econowash, Woods, Samsung, and many more.

Our Rates

Our rates are competitive and transparent. We charge a $68.00 service call fee, plus $96.00 per hour, broken down into 5-minute increments within the K-W Area. For out-of-town calls, there is an additional $20.00 fee, and return trips are extra, costing $25.00. We back up our warranty with 90 days of labor and 90 days to 1 year for parts, depending on the manufacturer. We accept Interac (debit), Visa, MasterCard, and Cash.
