Our Story

David Hardie, our founder, began his construction journey as a welder and pipefitter in the US Navy in 1978. After serving his country, he transitioned to a carpenter in 1981, building various types of fences across Colorado, California, and New York. He further honed his skills by working as a commercial framing contractor in Southern California until 1985. The following year, he started building residential track homes in Fort Collins, Colorado.

In 1991, David moved to Fort Collins and founded his own construction company, which he later renamed D Hardie Built in 1997. Throughout the years, he subcontracted as a framing foreman, overseeing large crews and guiding projects such as retail strip malls, schools, and apartment buildings.

In the summer of 2005, David relocated to the Clear Lake Area of Houston and rebranded his company as Rocket City Remodeling. With his extensive experience and a passion for quality workmanship, David has built a reputation for delivering reliable and consistent performance in all projects, from small to large-scale remodelings.
