Our History

Fritz Wahlfield Construction Company, Inc. (FWC) was founded in 1954 by Fritz and Marlene Wahlfield. Fritz realized that he could "Build It Better" if personal relationships were at the center of each quality build. Since then, our company has been built on a foundation of trust, respect, and a commitment to excellence. Fritz Wahlfield Jr, the current CEO & President, joined the company in 1977, bringing with him the knowledge and expertise gained from his father. He has led and grown the company into a premier commercial construction contractor in West Michigan by entering new markets and forming long-standing partnerships with clients.

In 2002, Fritz Wahlfield III became a full-time employee, marking the third generation of Wahlfield family members to be involved in the business. Fritz III has learned from the generations before him and has used that knowledge to grow and expand company operations with the same goal of "Building It Better." Today, FWC continues to be a family-owned and operated business, with a strong commitment to serving our clients and the community.
