Our History

Chapel Hill Moving Company was founded in 1975 by Roland and Wendy Intrator, who relocated from California to North Carolina. What started as a humble cross-country move soon turned into a thriving business, with Roland continuing to drive the truck around town and helping people with in-town moves. The company has since remained a family-run business, with Ethan Smith taking over the ownership in 2008. Our commitment to providing courteous, professional, and personalized moving services at competitive rates has remained unchanged.
