Our Story

Founded in 1979 by LaVon Long, Long General Contracting is a family-owned business with deep roots in the Sandpoint community. LaVon and his two sons, Roy and Rick, began building a reputation as a trustworthy company devoted to constructing quality buildings that lived up to the Long family name. Since taking over the business in 2002, Roy has continued to cultivate and develop a strong company while strengthening community ties. Today, Roy's sons, Travis and Jesse, have joined the family business, bringing new innovations and perspectives to an already forward-thinking and cutting-edge construction company. Together, they continue to improve the strong company foundation while perfecting the trade with creative processes and a commitment to quality.
