Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 81 was chartered on August 1, 2020. We represent over 1,400 union-trained Plumbers, Pipe Fitters, Steam Fitters, and HVAC/R Technicians, serving the Syracuse area. Our jurisdiction covers 14 counties, stretching from the border of Pennsylvania to the United States-Canada border.

We are a subsidiary of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, based in Annapolis, Maryland. Our members are highly skilled craftsmen who design, install, and service residential, commercial, and industrial piping systems in various facilities, including chemical plants, healthcare facilities, high-rise apartment buildings, and more.
