Our story began with Grandpa Ralph Maynard Johnson, who started installing flooring in the early 1940s. He was soon joined by his son, Dale, who developed a passion for floors while still in high school. This passion would eventually lead to the establishment of Johnson's Carpet & Tile, with Grandpa Ralph laying floors at iconic Minnesota buildings like the Oneida and Alworth.

Today, we're proud to carry on this legacy under the name Maynard Flooring Company. Our team, led by Paul Maynard and Brandon Maynard, continues to build on the knowledge and expertise passed down through the generations. We specialize in the customization and installation of carpet tile, broadloom carpet, resilient flooring, hardwood, and tile for various commercial spaces, including apartment complexes, retail spaces, office buildings, and hotels. Located in the historic Morgan Park neighborhood, our shop houses a team of experts ready to dive into your project. With a dedicated focus on commercial flooring, we have the capabilities to handle any project, from small repairs to large-scale installations. Our state-of-the-art facilities include a German robotic tufter, allowing us to build custom carpets that incorporate your logo, brand, or design.
