The Story Behind Southern Safe & Lock

Ron Jewell, the owner of Southern Safe & Lock, started locksmithing in 1991 and opened his first locksmith business in 1996 called All Secure Lock and Key. In 2000, he decided to specialize in safes and vaults and changed the business name to Southern Safe and Vault. He's been a SAVTA (Safe and Vault Technicians Association) instructor for many years and became the VP of SAVTA in 2006, winning the SAVTA Hall of Fame award in 2008. In 2013, he shut down Southern Safe and Vault and went to work for Diebold as a technician. In 2018, he left Diebold and started Southern Safe and Lock, LLC. Now, he enjoys serving clients in the Mobile, AL region with all their locksmithing needs.
