At GNG Contracting, we are a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality carpentry and construction services. Our company was founded by Garrit Greer, who has over 30 years of experience in the trade. Garrit's journey in carpentry began when he was just a senior in high school, working for his wood shop teacher's side business. He then went on to complete a two-year apprenticeship with a master carpenter and historic restoration specialist, Anton Vermay. This experience taught him the intricacies of restoring different New York State historical sites in the Hudson Valley.

After his apprenticeship, Garrit worked for a private custom cabinet shop, where he learned the ins and outs of fine cabinetry. He then moved on to work for a custom home builder and renovator, learning how to build new homes from the ground up. With this extensive background, Garrit founded GNG Contracting, bringing his wealth of knowledge and experience to every project he undertakes.
