Our History

Brown Fence Company has been family-owned and operated for over five generations. We opened our original location near the Patten Hotel in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in 1886, where we initially sold fence parts and focused on blacksmith work. Over the years, our company has evolved and expanded our services to meet the changing needs of our customers.

Despite the challenges we faced during World War II, our teenage Brown brothers stepped up and worked diligently to keep the company thriving. Today, we continue to honor their hard work and dedication by providing top-quality fences and gates to our community.

In 2021, our previous owners, Joseph Brown and his son Joey Brown, passed away. However, the company remains in the Brown family, and we are committed to continuing their legacy of excellence and customer satisfaction.
