At Native Roots Conservation Landscaping, we are a family-owned business passionate about nature and the environment. Our co-founder and co-owner, Thomas Schneider, is a certified Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional with a strong background in ecology and sustainability. Thomas works closely with clients and crew members to create, plant, and maintain landscapes that are not only beautiful but also sustainable and beneficial to the environment.

Our co-founder and co-owner, Joni Miller, has a deep love and appreciation for the outdoors. With a business background from Boston University, Joni has run and managed several local food start-ups in the area. Together, Thomas and Joni work in tandem with their son, Archie, and their four-legged crew, Poppy and Bagel, to deliver top-quality conservation landscaping and permeable hardscape installation services.

We collaborate with our designers to create functional landscapes that work at the intersection of nature and beauty. With our extensive knowledge of native plants, ecology, and local environmental rules and regulations, we work with designers to create spaces that are attractive, practical, and require less maintenance over time than traditional lawns.
