Our History

Booma Oil Inc. has been a trusted name in heating oil and home comfort solutions on Boston's North Shore for over 75 years. Founded in 1933 by Roland Booma and Dick Breed, the company, originally named Booma-Breed, played a pivotal role in the shift from coal to heating oil as the preferred fuel for homes. Roland Booma, a driving force in the industry, continued to lead the company until his passing in 1976, passing the torch to his son-in-law, Ferdinand (Ted) Carangelo. Today, the company is proudly helmed by Roland's daughter, Lisa Carangelo, and his son, Theodore (Theo) Carangelo, ensuring that the legacy of family dedication and customer-centric service continues.
