Our Story

Our story began in 1977 when Brian Marek, our company president, started his career in the residential construction business. With years of hands-on experience as a framing, siding, and decking subcontractor, Brian formed B.K. Marek Construction, Inc. in 1982 and began building custom homes on a pre-sold basis, as well as remodeling and light commercial projects. In 1985, the company was incorporated with his spouse, Carroll Marek, as the Office Manager. Since then, we have built over 200 custom homes and completed over 230 remodeling projects.

Our vision meeting is the starting point of our design and build process. We meet with you one-on-one to talk about your dreams and goals for your project, ensuring that we are a good fit. We assess your plans, budget, and timeline and work together to ensure that we can accomplish your building goals and vision within your desired budget and timeline.

Pre-Planning & Scheduling

Once the plans, financing, and contracts are finalized, we layout a timeline and start to schedule our trusted contractors. We understand the importance of timeliness, and we utilize only the area's finest and most reliable subcontractors for all of our construction projects.

Construction

During the construction process, we work to ensure that all facets are carried out as planned and in a timely manner. You will meet with us at every major step to go over all the details and budget and make any necessary adjustments. We prioritize communication and transparency, ensuring that you are always informed of the progress of your project.

Completion & Delivery

We understand the importance of delivering on time, so that you can plan your move accordingly. We reassess the construction timeline at every major milestone and keep you updated throughout the process. We pride ourselves in promptly taking care of warranty work and staying in touch during the first year after move-in.
