At Hawkeye Landscape Design, we pride ourselves on creating unique and original gardens that not only enhance the beauty of our clients' homes but also become an extension of their personalities. As a native of Chicago, our founder and principal designer, Geri Elfman, developed a deep appreciation for the natural world from an early age. This passion led her to pursue a career in landscape design, combining her associate's degree in horticulture and design from Pierce College with further studies at UCLA under the tutelage of renowned landscape designer Bob Perry.

First Design Consultation

In this initial consultation, we get to know our clients, their space, and their intentions. We gather information regarding their wishes, including the unspoken ones, and analyze the site's natural surroundings and structures. Our goal is to understand the client's vision, desires, and needs to create a personal and tailored approach to their landscape design.

The Design Process

Our design process begins with a preliminary plan, which includes measuring the site, creating a plot plan, and suggesting plants and materials. We also provide photos and a follow-up meeting to ensure that our clients are satisfied with the initial design. From here, we can create a detailed final drawing, billed at the hourly rate, and provide design specs for building, plant lists, watering guides, and maintenance instructions.

Complete Installation

We offer a comprehensive installation service, covering hardscape, irrigation, and planting. Our experienced crew works closely with our designers to ensure that every aspect of the landscape design is executed flawlessly. We also offer maintenance services to keep our clients' gardens looking their best for years to come.
