Our History

Founded in 1946 by Gilbert Swinney, S&M Painting and Drywall Company began as Swinney Painting Company. In 1959, Mike Mangold joined the company, and in 1965, a partnership between Gilbert Swinney and Mike Mangold was formed, giving birth to S&M Painting and Drywall Company. The drywall division was also established at this time. In 1992, S&M Painting and Drywall Company was incorporated. Over the years, we have relocated from the north side of Indianapolis to our current location in Carmel, Indiana.
