Mulzer Crushed Stone, located in Tell City, has been in operation for over 85 years. Founded by three brothers, Arnold, Roland, and Edgar Mulzer, the company has grown from a small construction company to become one of the largest suppliers of building materials in the Ohio River Valley. Today, Mulzer operates over 15 locations and employs more than 600 people, making it a significant contributor to the local economy.

The company's humble beginnings date back to the 1940s when the Mulzer brothers started by finishing work for ditch diggers, building box culverts alongside newly constructed or upgraded roads throughout Indiana. Over the years, Mulzer has expanded its services to include the supply of limestone, sand, and gravel for various projects such as international airport runways, roads, interstate highways, dams, and chemical operations at utilities.
