How We Work

Our process starts with an initial consultation where you decide if our firm and how we work is a good fit for you. Once we have established a mutual understanding, the next step is entering into a Professional Services Agreement/Design Retainer with us. This agreement includes a description of your project, the proposed or estimated budget cost range, and three specific phases of work that will be accomplished.

The first phase is the Schematic Design Development Documents, which consist of the design drawings and other documents illustrating the scale, arrangement, and relationship of the project components. We use state-of-the-art 3D photo-rendered computer-aided design (CAD) to present your project, making it easy to visualize and understand.

The second phase is the Budget Cost Analysis, where we determine the actual funds required to complete the project based on the Design Development Documents. This process involves an onsite visit with all our mechanical and trade partners who will be engaged on the project, helping to eliminate surprises and providing the basis for the actual project budget cost and specifications.

The third phase is the Construction Development Documents, which include the drawings and specifications outlined in detail, the requirements for the construction of the project, the allowance amounts included for your product selections, terms and conditions, and other required details that comprise your proposal for the project.

There is a fee for the Professional Services Agreement/Design Retainer, determined by the scope of the project, its complexity, and the amount of time required to put it all together for you. With your acceptance of the proposal, your project will be placed into the production schedule, and we will let you know when you can expect us to start and when you can anticipate the completion of your project.
