Our Story

Painters Plus was established in 1990 by Shane Heille, who built a trusted painting and finishing business alongside his wife, Tami. Over the years, the company has grown and expanded, with Nate Foltz of Foltz Drywall, Inc. taking over in 2020. With a focus on maintaining the strong tradition of exceptional service, Painters Plus continues to serve the Detroit Lakes area with top-quality door, trim, millwork sales, prefinishing, and interior and exterior painting services.

Door, Trim, Millwork Sales & Showroom

Our beautiful showroom, located right off County Highway 6, offers a wide range of building materials for any size job. From trim, interior and exterior doors, fire doors, flush doors, panel doors, mirror doors, patio doors, and fiberglass doors to jambs, pre-hung units, windows, window and door casings, window extensions, moldings, tongue and groove paneling, stairways, railings, knobs, handles, locksets, and hinges, we have everything you need to complete your construction project.

Prefinishing

We specialize in prefinishing, which involves applying paints, stains, and lacquers with skill and precision. Our goal is to provide you with high-quality doors, jambs, windows, casings, trim, moldings, tongue and groove paneling, stairways, and railings with a beautiful, long-lasting finish. We can typically provide building supplies with a higher level of finish at a comparable price to most lumber yards and home improvement stores.

Interior & Exterior Painting
