Giacalone Design Services, Inc. is a premier Dry Utility Design firm that has been serving the West Coast since 1995. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, customer service, and building strong relationships with our clients, utility partners, and employees. Our journey began with just four employees and has since grown to over 50 employees, with a portfolio that exceeds 5,000 projects. Our offices in Gilroy, Pleasanton, and Vacaville allow us to better serve our clients across the region.

Company History

Our story began in 1995 when we first entered the joint trench utility design industry. Through hard work and dedication, we have expanded our services and our service territory. Our leadership, comprising of two Principals, Paul Giacalone and Lisa Giacalone-Burns, has been instrumental in our growth and success. They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service.

Meet Our Leaders

Paul Giacalone, our Owner and President, has a deep understanding of the construction process, from forward planning to construction and installation. He has worked closely with clients in the development and management of their projects and designs. Lisa Giacalone-Burns, our Owner and CFO, has extensive knowledge in both the financial and logistical aspects of the construction industry. Her expertise provides a well-balanced approach to managing our customers' projects and the company.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of services including Consulting, Design, and Coordination. Our Consulting services assist clients in navigating the complex utility engineering process. Our Design services cover a broad spectrum, from joint trench and lighting design for small and large projects. Finally, our Coordination services help overcome post-design phase logistic hurdles and resolve construction installation conflicts.
