Growing up in a family of weavers, Mel learned the art of rug-making from his father at the tender age of 12. With guidance from his father, Mel honed his skills and developed a passion for weaving that has only grown stronger over the years. Today, he is joined by his wife, Lucy, in the weaving process, and their two daughters are learning the family trade.
