Our story began in 1946 when Samuel Cohen founded Portland Glass with a single shop in Portland, Maine, focusing on automotive glass repair. Over the years, we have grown and expanded our services to include storefront glass replacement, curtain wall, storefront, custom entrances, and Alucobond, as well as other Division 8 related products.

In 1963, Gene Cohen took over the business after his father's passing. Gene's vision was to not only stay ahead of competitors in the auto glass field but also to expand into other facets of the glass industry. His dedication to learning and innovation led to steady growth and a strong reputation for quality and reliability.

In 1997, Portland Glass retail stores were sold to Harmon Glass, and AD&W Architectural Doors & Windows was created. Since then, Jonathan Cohen, Gene's son, has been leading the company's continued growth and expansion. Today, we are one of the largest fabricators and installers of curtain wall, storefront, custom entrances, and Alucobond north of Boston.
