At Twehous Excavating Company, Inc., we have been a premier excavating company in Jefferson City, Missouri for over 60 years. Our story began in 1959 when Frank and Laverne Twehous founded the company with a single Caterpillar D6 bulldozer. Starting with a small office in their home, they worked tirelessly to grow the business. With dedication and hard work, they were able to outgrow their original location and move to a small shop in Taos, Missouri. As the business expanded, they built a new facility off Highway 50 East on the outskirts of Jefferson City, Missouri.

Today, Twehous Excavating has grown into one of the premier excavating companies in Mid-Missouri. With a team of experienced professionals and over 100 employees, we have built a reputation for excellence in the industry. EXCAVATING & SITE GRADING

We have been perfecting our grading skills for over 60 years. With the latest technology and a highly experienced team of operators, we can confidently handle any grading project. From small grading projects to large-scale excavations, we have the expertise and equipment to get the job done.

UTILITY CONSTRUCTION

As municipalities and cities continue to grow, so do the underground utilities that support them. Our team of experienced operators and laborers specialize in challenging utility projects, especially those that involve protecting delicate existing utilities. Our services include the installation of complete sanitary and storm sewer systems, underground detention basins, waterlines, conduit trenching, certified HDPE pipe welding, and leachate collection piping systems.

CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION

Twehous Excavating brings years of experience to all of our concrete work. Our services include concrete foundations, curb and gutter, concrete flatwork, parking lots and roadways. Our skilled workforce, combined with our investment in concrete forming equipment, can handle any project from a small commercial job to heavy industrial construction including bridges and box culverts.

DEMOLITION

DRILLING & BLASTING

Our equipment incorporates the latest technology, allowing us to provide blasting for almost any size project. All of our blasters are licensed, and we work closely with state and federal officials to ensure that all of our activities are in compliance with local, state, and federal law.

HEAVY HAULING

Our trucking division specializes in oversized and overweight loads throughout the majority of the United States. Our fleet includes flatbed trailers, open deck trailers, specialized heavy haulers, and multi-axle trailers. Oversized/overweight shipments require careful planning to ensure safety, on-time delivery, precise permit measurements, and routing throughout various states.

GEOTECHNICAL BORING

We provide professional geotechnical drilling for site investigation and remediation. Our capabilities include Standard Penetration Tests, Split Tube Samples, Shelby Tube Samples, Hollow Stem Augers, and Solid Stem Augers. We also have a full line of excavators for digging test pits.

SOFT DIG EXCAVATION
