Our Story

Herring Technology was founded in 2000 as a provider of structured cabling solutions in Nashville, Tennessee. However, our journey began as a response to a string of onsite burglaries that resulted in significant inventory loss and property damage. Frustrated with traditional security technology and methodology, our founder, Tom Herring, embarked on a quest to develop a comprehensive security plan. Over time, Tom became an expert in physical security technology and document production for law enforcement and investigators. As our reputation grew, so did our network of technology providers and expertise.
