As a lifelong resident of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, Alex has always been deeply passionate about environmental protection and innovative energy solutions. His passion led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Prior to establishing DeFreitas Enterprises, Alex gained valuable experience in the solar industry, recognizing the urgent need for accessible and sustainable energy options across the Northeast.

David Shanahan

A fellow Chelmsford native, David joined DeFreitas Enterprises in early 2019, bringing a strong sales background and a genuine interest in renewable energy. David transitioned from sales to the installation team, where he swiftly gained valuable experience as a solar panel installer, working hands-on with his clients' projects. His dedication to his craft and his passion for environmentally friendly practices have made him a valuable asset to our team. When not on the roof, David enjoys cultivating his home garden, cycling, BMX riding, and snowboarding.

Kyler Gallant

Kyler Gallant contributes his technical expertise to DeFreitas Enterprises as part-time Head of Research. His role involves researching cutting-edge products and trends within the renewable energy sector, ensuring that DeFreitas Enterprises can offer its clients the latest and most efficient solutions. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Kyler is constantly seeking new knowledge and opportunities to contribute to a sustainable future. Currently, he is pursuing a Masters of Engineering Management.
