Our History

Rain-A-Way Exteriors, Inc. was founded by V.L. Castor in the 1950s. With the help of his wife, Dorothy, V.L. operated the business under the name V.L. Castor Construction Co. In 1962, Mr. Castor bought the first seamless gutter machine in the area, marking the beginning of our gutter installation services. In 1969, V.L. incorporated the business under the name Rain-A-Way Gutter Co., Inc. In 1970, V.L.'s grandson and current owner, Darrell Sams, began working with his grandfather at the business. In 1978, Darrell purchased the company from his grandfather. Since then, we have continued to build on the same principles of honesty, quality, and fairness that have guided us from the start.
