Paul Lako's passion for excavation began in his youth, watching the behemoths of the earthmoving industry transform landscapes. Aspiring to master these machines and leave his own mark, Paul dedicated himself to learning the craft. While he gained valuable experience working in his family's business, he yearned for more extensive knowledge and the opportunity to operate larger equipment.

Following his high school graduation, Paul pursued his dream by relocating to St. Cloud, Minnesota. There, he secured a position as a Dozer and Blade operator for a prominent excavating company, immersing himself in the intricacies of the industry. His years in St. Cloud proved to be invaluable, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of excavation techniques far beyond his early imaginings of playing in the dirt.

Returning to his hometown of Arthur, North Dakota, after four rewarding years, Paul harbored a vision for his own company. Today, with over three decades of experience behind him, Paul Lako founded Lako Excavating, a professional excavation service company built on a foundation of his father's instilled values: hard work, honesty, and respect.
