Our Story

The Sweeting family has a long history in the Florida Keys, dating back to 1866 when they first settled in the area. Jack Sweeting, the patriarch of the family, founded Sweetwater Homes in 1973 with a vision to provide affordable, stylish, and safe homes for families in the Keys. Today, the company is still owned and operated by the Sweeting family, with Jack's children, Shane and Francena, at the helm. Our dedication to quality construction and customer satisfaction is unwavering, and we are proud to have built over 1,700 homes in the Florida Keys.
