Our Story

Our journey began with a passion for hardscaping and landscape design, which was ignited by our owner, Mark Beaven. Mark grew up in an agricultural family in the area and always had a fascination with rocks and a love of woodworking. After graduating from the University of Maryland with a degree in Horticulture and Turf Management, Mark started his career in the industry, working with one of the top landscape companies in the nation. He gained valuable experience in managing large-scale installations in Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia.

After several years in the corporate world, Mark decided to return to his roots and start his own business. In the spring of 2003, Exterior Enhancements, Inc. was formed. With a strong foundation in hardscaping and landscape design, Mark set out to build a business that would specialize in creating unique and elegant outdoor spaces for homeowners and commercial properties.
