Welcome to Dale E. Percy, Inc., a family-owned excavation company located in the heart of the Green Mountains of Stowe, Vermont. With a rich history dating back to 1944, our company has been providing a wide range of services to individual homeowners, commercial customers, and contractors throughout Stowe and the surrounding areas.

Our History

Our story began with Dale E. Percy, who purchased a large tractor for $1200 in 1944. From this piece of machinery, one of Stowe's first usable bucket loaders was born, and Dale started small excavation projects. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Dale returned home in 1947 and began doing excavation work for hire. Demand for his machinery grew, and by the late 1950s, Dale's company was working on site work for various projects in Stowe. In 1959, we established our current location at 269 Weeks Hill Road, where we still operate today.

Over the years, our company has grown and evolved, with Chip Percy, Dale's nephew, joining the company in 1974 and becoming President/Owner in 1980. Today, Chip is joined by his two children, Meghan and Matt, who run the daily operations of the company, making us a third-generation family-owned and operated company.

Our Services

At Dale E. Percy, Inc., we are able to offer a broad range of services to meet the needs of our clients. Our services include land development, driveway grading and improvement, road and driveway construction, and snow plowing and removal. We also operate two gravel pits, a stone quarry, and a mobile crushing plant, allowing us to provide high-quality aggregates for our construction projects and to the public.

Our team of experienced professionals has the expertise to take on a wide variety of excavation projects, from small residential projects to large commercial developments.
